A Superworker is someone who seamlessly integrates AI tools into their workflows—not to replace their skills, but to amplify their productivity, creativity, and decision-making. Superworkers embrace AI as an ally to handle repetitive processes, support ideas generation and provide valuable insights. This leaves the worker to focus on higher-level, innovative tasks.
As a natural extension of this concept, I see myself as a Super Learning Designer—an Instructional or Learning Designer who doesn’t just use AI for efficiency but leverages it as a creative spark.

By automating routine tasks and uncovering actionable insights, AI helps me focus on the aspects I’m truly passionate about: designing narratives, building interactive scenarios, and nurturing meaningful human connections within education.
My experience as a Super Learning Designer has shown me how AI tools can enhance productivity, ignite creativity, and help me deliver transformative learning experiences that feel both personal and impactful (Bates et al., 2024; Singh et al., 2025).
So, how can you bring AI into your own learning design practice?
Here are some practical strategies I apply daily in my role as a Super Learning Designer.
Design: Streamlining Collaboration
Collaboration is the backbone of learning design, and AI tools like Microsoft Loop and Copilot have transformed the way I work with teams. Loop facilitates dynamic collaboration by enabling teams to share and edit content seamlessly across applications, whether brainstorming ideas, organising workflows, or co-authoring documents.

Copilot enhances this further by providing AI-powered assistance, such as summarising discussions, generating actionable insights, and even drafting content based on prompts. Together, these tools allow me to focus on creativity and teamwork while ensuring efficiency and alignment throughout the design process.
Development: Enhancing Creativity
AI-powered tools have been game-changers for content creation. For instance, I often use Auditae to handle transcript generation and organise complex workflows. It not only saves me hours but also ensures consistency across my projects.
Platforms like Articulate 360 and Rise are also staples in my toolkit. Articulate 360 uses intelligent automation to make interaction design and quiz development seamless, while Rise’s responsive templates ensure my designs adapt effortlessly to multiple devices. These features mean I can channel my energy into building engaging and impactful learning experiences.
Tools like CoPilot and Canva are my go-to options for polishing content. CoPilots Large Language Model identifies language issues and suggests refinements, while Canva’s features—like Magic Resize and Text-to-Image AI—help me create visually stunning eLearning materials quickly. These tools give me the freedom to refine both my messaging and visuals with minimal effort.
Delivery: Personalising Learning Experiences
Personalisation is where AI truly shines. The branching scenarios in Articulate Rise have been particularly useful for crafting dynamic, learner-centred experiences. Additionally, Microsoft Viva Learning, integrated into MS Teams, uses AI to recommend customised training resources, helping learners access materials that align perfectly with their goals. These tools enable me to create truly immersive and personalised learning journeys.
Are you ready to embrace the possibilities of AI and step into your own role as a Super Learning Designer?
